Oh great, yet another scheme - PRS inspections !

It was a combination of factors, including the tax grab, changes in governance rules, and the factors you mentioned, but the biggest influence (according to my group finance director) was the unexpected 'tax grab' and its subsequent effect on the investment market.

Oh great, yet another scheme - PRS inspections !

Such as forcing my final salary pension scheme to close, which has reduced my occupational pension by about 40%?

Yes, and John D will get laods of free makeup!

Downstairs lighting circuit MCB randomly tripping since electrician's visit last week.

Better to leave the lighting one powered off, as was suggested by John D. Those detectors are not 100% reliable, it is better to depend on IR testing and visual inspection.

6mm twin earth cable for a 4m spur

Last week I noticed that my local Homebase had a basket of "Jumbo car sponges" on special offer, reduced to just £64 each! I told them, but today they still haven't changed the ticket!

Separate oven and hob on one circuit?

For something to be considered evidence, it has to be repeatable by a disinterested person.

I agree, but to them, their belief that they have seen deities is evidence.

Separate oven and hob on one circuit?

From https://www1.udel.edu/johnmack/frec682/cholera/ "He examined water samples from various wells under a microscope, and confirmed the presence of an unknown bacterium in the Broad Street samples." Separate oven and hob on one circuit?

There is a large number of people who believe that they have seen deities, and have held conversations with them, and have seen them perform 'miracles'.

The construction of the plugs I looked at prevents "sticking a probe into the innards".

Separate oven and hob on one circuit?

Just reminding ourselves that trying to find evidence of the existence of deities depends on what one considers to be evidence. Consider Snow's investigation into an outbreak of cholera in London. The association between infected families and a particular source of water led to the logical...

Separate oven and hob on one circuit?

I haven't. There could be, for some people, a perfectly logical reason why the herds of flying unicorns have not been spotted over Europe - God stops the disbelievers from seeing them (just as he/she/they/it stops us from seeing the evidence for he/she/they/it's existence).

    Socket orientation

I was assuming you meant correctly wired ones, since the discussion was around conformity to the standard. If not correctly wired then all bets are off, as idiocy has no limits.

Should've gone to Specsavers! The apparent offset is just parallax due to the Proteus devices standing proud of the terminals.
