    vauxhal vectra aircon help

If there is not enough gas in the system the low pressure switch will prevent the the clutch from opperating. It may just need re-gasing or you could have a leek that will need to be fixed first.

    Aircon on a scenic

I'm not too sure if this is the case on the scenic, but some only have the low pressure valve. You can drain, vac and refill the system using only the low pressure valve, so it's not really a problem, the only thing is you can't measure the head pressure.

    snickers measuring tape

I seem to think if you had it on your belt, you press the top centre of the clip part towards your body and the tape should slide up.

1998 Ford Escort - Inst Panel & Tail lights fuse blowing

Right ok. Have you checked the alternator output voltage? i.e. check the voltage across the battery terminals with a multimeter whilst the engine is running, it's posiable the voltage regulator in the alternator has failed, so the voltage will be far too high, so when you switch the lights on...

Changing front discs and pads on a Ford Focus Zetec 1999

There probably about the easiest pads and disks to change. You will need to push the piston back into the caliper, about the easiest way to do this is to use a G clamp, don't strip both sides down at the same time, strip and rebuild one side then do the other, if you have both calipers off at...

    Focus fuel filter

Getting to the screw head with a screwey ain't the problem, it's when the head is rusted up and rounds off, thats when the fun starts because it's virtualy impossible to get anything else on it to remove the damaged screw.

1998 Ford Escort - Inst Panel & Tail lights fuse blowing

A common problem with that model escort was water ingress into the fuse box, more so on the early ones, the later ones where modified to try and stop it, but it was still a problem. Looking at the top of the fuse box(i.e. at the fuses) you will not see anything wrong, you need to take it apart...

    Focus fuel filter

These are an ar$e and a half! The way I've done them in the past, is to carefully grind the head off with a small air powered belt sander, then one of two ways, either prise it apart and bend it out of the way so you can use a small set of vice grips to unscrew the rest of the self tapper(this...

I've done loads of these and usualy it's because they are blocked up, i've had a fair few that where faulty mind, but it's well worth cleaning it out first, also i should have said be carefull removing the pipes, as jetex said.
