Could expanding Foam Crush a gas pipe

The gas pipe is where it goes through the wall at the front of the house. I.e it has dropped down to ground level ran along and then into the house. From what little i know this has to be sleeved and cemented into place. G

Ideal response 120 Saga - Hopefully Final Installment

Just to clarify, If you try DHW only the boiler wont light. When the CH is on and you turn on a hot water tap the DHW comes on as normal and heats the water. Spoke to the guy again this evening and he now tells me that the pressure gauge is fluctuating from 0 to 2 bar and that air was...

Ideal response 120 Saga - Hopefully Final Installment

Had a prob with Ideal response 120. Would light and when it did the Hot water only stayed hot for 30 secs. Rectifed some loose connection on PCB 41 and cleaned out the gas valve and everything was singing and dancing last night. Just had the customer back on to say the boiler still isnt...

Struggling with an Ideal Response 120

Yeah a litre or so would have been right. So this is to be expected? I was panicking a bit as it was coming out and down in and around electrical bits and pieces. Had a towel down (the owners!!! Bring my own in future!!) and then dried all electrical fittings afterwards with a hairdryer...

Struggling with an Ideal Response 120

Sorry maybe i wasnt totally clear as i reposted this from another post. The DHW was coming on and staying hot for 30 secs and then going cold. So i swapped the DHW sensor with CH sensor which is screwed up into the heat exchanger. Both were reading 10 K Ohms but i swapped them anyway. It...

Struggling with an Ideal Response 120

Hi Tony, I got it sorted eventually. There was something lose on PCB 41. Checked all the fittings and away she went. The reason for the DHW not staying on was a gas valve full of copper sulphide. I am growing to hate that stuff as time goes by. Would i be right in saying that IDEAL...
