    Before you disconnect the headlight, switch the h/lights on, with the level adjust set to high,(i.e. 0) then disconnect the h/light, this will extend the adjuster arm out of the motor asy. and give you a bit more free play when you twist the motor out of the h/light. and don't just pull the ball...

    Have a look on eBay for a Kewtech kt115, just seen a brand spanker on there, on a buy it now for about £35! quality bit of kit for not much more than than a cheepo nasty thing :wink:

    Crimps not staying - am I using the right type / size ?

    Two things about the crimping tool; 1, the jaws are the wrong way round ie. the yellow one should be closest to the piviot not the red ones, but that shouldn't make much differance using the blue terminals. 2, the jaws look like a set i've got, and on them one side of the jaw crimps more...

    Washing Machine -temporary use in double socket on main ring

    This was from an extension lead that was not overloaded and witch had a thermal cut out on it. Not one of mine i may add it's one that failed a PAT test. p.s. the pic doesn't quite show what a melted mess it really is.

    Very Dangerous (looking back)

    Reminds me of when i was a kid and i decided to make an electro magnet, found a big steel bar in the garage that was bent into a U shape, and a roll of bell wire. Joined one end of the wire together and wrapped the lot around the bar, i go into the kitchen and switch the power off to the garage...

    Reds -> C Brown -> L1 Blue -> Blacks All earths together Thats asuming the the brown/blue cable is going to the light fitting, look in the light fitting first to see if it is the brown/blue.

    Wiring a new phone master socket

    It is the orange & white wires, but you are NOT allowed to touch them :!: Only BT engineers are allowed to connect the incoming cable, if you get caught messing with it, BT can disconnect you permanently!! and expect a heavy fine :!: :!:
