    Surestop Stopcock

ive fitted a few, they all worked well, but then the little hose could get kinked or blocked i s'pose, so it's always better to have back up

    Surestop Stopcock

that looks old! can you turn it off in the street? if so i would do that, then expose the pipework enough so you can get the lead cut, once you've cut it in half you should be able to move it a lot easier, and then use a Lead Loc to adapt it to copper, then fit your Surestop, i would maybe...

Combi boiler needs gas supply pipe to be larger?

i've also fitted lots of Worcesters, never had many problems with any in the range

Combi boiler needs gas supply pipe to be larger?

yeah, more or less every combi boiler nowadays needs a 22mm gas pipe at least. your existing Suprima is 40,000 btu input which equates to about 12 KW in new money, a combi for your house will be at least 30KW i would think, so it's more than double the output which is why it needs a more gas...

    Speedfit to copper drips

put a mark on the pipe with a pencil or marker to roughly the depth of the fitting, then you'll know they're fully in

    Anti gravity valve

might be a bit of air trapped in the pump, unscrew the screw on the front (or it could be a little hex knob) and see if any air comes out, be careful though as the water can be very hot, and have an old towel ready as it will drip water out. if just water comes out and no air, then it needs...

    Annual gas safety check -failure

i still think it's two different flues.....

    Annual gas safety check -failure

it would be interesting to see the flue components as they are taking them out when it comes to getting the boiler swapped. take some pictures if you can and re-post i'm pretty certain that they've used the wrong terminal section that is slightly larger (110mm) and taped it onto the smaller...

    Flow and Return mix up?

the direction of the flow through a radiator has no consequence, the only trouble you'll have is a noisy TRV if it's on the wrong way and not of the bisexual variety and you'll only find this out when it starts to shut down,

    Annual gas safety check -failure

im with you here Pablo the terminal is from a Potterton Promax HE, ive fitted loads of the things, and the flue has a metal inner and outer and is made from the toughest metal known to man as it takes such an effort to cut it. It's an odd size too, something like 110mm diameter and not...

22mm pipe to 3/4 compression fitting

is there a bit of old imperial 3/4 pipe that you took out of the tee? put it back in, cut it as short as you can get away with and then use a soldered 22mm - 3/4 coupling

sounds like you're wasting your time, just fill it up and see if it leaks. if it does fix it

    Moving a boiler

yeah, that should be ok to move, i would get a new flue though (about £70) because it could well get damaged removing it

    Moving a boiler

the boiler you previously had was no doubt a conventional one with an open flue and a H/W cylinder in the airing cupboard, this has been replaced by a combi, the reason it went in the airing cupboard would be because there's usually a cold main, hot supply, and a flow and return that could be...

    Boiler flue

only takes about 50 ppm (parts per million) of CO to put you to sleep, and then you might just wake up dead... take the advice and turn it off

TRV on the return side.. don't know if they are bidirectional. Pic attached

turn off all radiators bar one, put your heating on and slowly turn down the TRV, if it starts vibrating and sounds like a machine gun it's on the wrong way. but like Pablo says it'll still work. bi-directional valves make for an easier install
