Hi folks,just putting a false ceiling in the missus salon,but as you can see in the pic,there will be a 28mm gas pipe in the void which is going into the chippy in next shop.what vents will need to be fitted in the ceiling(size and how many).cheers

Sorry thought it was a header.rather than an rsj from one pillar to other,though 2 timber joists would be ok.

Hi folks,after a bit more advice regarding the above.need to build my header,and was wondering if 2 9x2 joists would be ok from pillar to pillar.was thinking of making it like a ladder with noggins.width of garage is 4m.

Oh ok.what would you suggest then.at the moment it’s wired with choc bloc connectors very untidy stuffed in a backbox with a blanking plate.

It’s a beauty salon mate,so have 2 treatment rooms,the main part at the front and the toilet light.toolstation does have a 6 way which states it’s for use with 4 switches and 4 lights

Yeah I’ve done a fair bit of electrical work mate,plus it will be inspected by a qualified sparky anyway,who I know,but he ain’t got time at the moment to pop along and give me any proper advise.

Hi folks,wife has asked me to do a bit of rewiring in her shop regarding the lighting.there is 4 rooms,so the plan is to have a switch in each room,and obviously the light in each room.thinking of using the surewire 7 way prewired box.anyone have any experience with these at all.
