Have just taker delivery of filter material for a Cooker Hood. One side of the material has red stripes on it, should these face the fan or the cooker.

A friend has just been given an invalid chair. I suspect the battery is at fault as it appears not to be working after a 3 hour charge.I have the usual DIY meters for measuring voltage, continuity etc., is it possible to do a basic test to see if the battery is OK with these, if not what do I need.

Have just refilled the black cartridge on my new printer. As I don't intend using colour very much will the machine run OK if the black cart is re-filled in future and the colour cart is never (or rarely) used.

Thanks for all replies. I have eventually gone for a Canon TS3150. Output is better than my iP7250 and the carts can be refilled, very pleased.

Further to my recent posts have now purchased the above printer. My old iP7250 was connected to PC the via USB, is this not the easiest way for me to use for the new machine and, if so, am I losing out somewhere. I really just want to use the machine for simple printing. (at the moment!)

Many thanks. Have had a good look for this, without dismantling anything, couldn't see a lever. Gave it a good clean from out-side with mini vac. It seems to print the first sheet when first turned on, after that the yellow light flashes if asked to undergo another, separate, task.

My trusty Pixma iP7250 keeps telling me there is no paper (flashing yellow light). This can sometimes be sorted by turning off the machine (top button), but this can happen again later. I have checked the tray and paper pile, all seems OK. ???

As posted previously my trusty Canon iP7250 has packed in. Would like to replace with a basic machine for home use that uses compatible cartridges. Am using Win 10 with USB cable. Any suggestions most welcome.
