For the benefit of the OP; whilst your question has caused some hilarity, the consequences are likely to be similar to this. http://youtu.be/xXJIPg2PqJs?t=5m20s NSFW, not suitable for anyone wanting to keep hold of their breakfast.

CH programmer that responds to external temperature

That function is known as Optimum Start/Stop. I'm not aware of it being available on any domestic controllers, but I'd welcome info from anyone more knowledgeable. Correction; available on the Hoineywell CM907, according to this thread...

Heating controls for multiple heating sources

I'm sure there is some logic behind the design of that device but I cannot see it.

Heating controls for multiple heating sources

The buffer vessel/ neutraliser is effective, but all the circuits from it need their own pump, excluding the woodburner IF the gravity circulation can achieve adequate flow. You could connect the woodburner to the CH return, if the return passes close above the woodburner. You'd increase...

noise like a thundering "waterfall" after neighbou

The common services (drains, water supply, gas, etc., ) would probably be enclosed in a services duct which would be accessible for maintenance and inspection from the public areas. The maintenance contractors or caretaker should have a key, if there is such a duct. Usually all the toilets...

noise like a thundering "waterfall" after neighbou

True, but the Building Regulations have requirements for sound insulation on foul drains, specifically to stop such noise breakout. If the noise is from a foul drain, I'd suspect that the sound insulation does not meet the Building Regulations standards and the builder could be liable.

    Forced convection

They are a complete waste of time and money. You need to fit a bigger radiator or a fan convector. The heat transfer from the radiator to the air is restricted by the layer of stationary air adjacent to the metal surfaces. Increasing the airflow has little effect, you'd need to increase the...

    Sunvic Actuator

No (TBH I've never tried it, but I'm fairly certain it won't fit; anyone who knows better can contradict me). If you want to avoid a drain down and refill, get a new actuator or get it repaired by this chap; http://www.seered.co.uk/sunvic.htm If you want a Honeywell valve, just buy the...

    Underfloor heating - Cylinder popped

Any excuse to give the exploding water cylinder another outing! I'm fairly sure an unvented thing would be both very inadvisable as well as illegal, but can't be bothered to find out which bit of legislation it would contravene. A vented installation, as suggested by SimonH...

    Underfloor heating - Cylinder popped

Or http://www.waterheaterblast.com/ an unvented electrically heated cylinder on which the safety devices have been intentionally disabled. This is interesting reading, if you're interested in that sort of thing. http://www.maib.gov.uk/cms_resources.cfm?file=/fleur-de-lys.pdf

    Underfloor heating - Cylinder popped

Investigate whether it is legal. The G3 Building Regulations safety requirements for an unvented hot water cylinder are quite involved, but are necessary because an overheated cylinder can burst in an explosive manner. I don't want to dramatise this, but your arrangement could easily...

    Underfloor heating - Cylinder popped

The cylinder has a maximum pressure rating which was exceeded. The water expands when heated and if the expansion vessel was too small, the rated pressure could easily be exceeded. There should be a pressure relief valve (PRV) that would open, at a pressure below the cylinder's pressure rating...

single loud bang when dhw motorised valve shuts

Water hammer. The pump should stop when as the valve closes, but the water will still be moving when the valve shuts rapidly under spring pressure and the water is brought to an abrupt stop. The Y-plan (one 3-port) always has one side open. Try stopping the pump first (if you can) and...

Problem with my Unvented water heater - OSO indirect 210

Maybe someone's taken a fuse out (I do, because the electric is usually much more expensive than mains gas and it is only there for emergencies) or the immersion heater itself is broken. The light indicates that there's power at the switch. It's a 10 minute job for someone competent with a...

    Boiler making strange sea-like noises!

Check the flow and return pipes coming out of the boiler, make sure there are no air-traps where air could accumulate and stop the flow of water. The pipes should rise continulousy to the open vent or an air vent. Look for any pipes that resemble an inverted 'U' or are run up-across-down...
