The bigger problem, and politically more acceptable to taxpayers for Gov to resolve is- collection. Tax is not being efficiently collected from anyone other than PAYE workers who have no hiding place. Ideas for discussion: Stop IHT avoidance via trusts etc. IHT will affect <5% of deaths in uk...

Yes, it IS rocket science !

It goes up at Mach gazillion with aerodynamic control using velocity and drag for stability. It sheds truckloads of fuel weight as it goes. To come down, it still needs a load of fuel for essentially, controlling a rock that wants to accelerate not slow gently to 0 m/s at a perfect point in time.

Lotus Cars Ltd, the Motability con, and more....

They choose to use one of their benefit payments to lease the car. If their payment would be say, £400/month, that's the most expensive lease they can take out unless they choose to pay the extra from other funds. You might be able to 'take the pish' to get the benefit, but not to get the car.

Totally predictable: Trump discusses giving land to Russia

If the world does nothing, Vlad will secure his foothold, then walk into a Balkan nation. If he does, I hope NATO goes all in- full on war; and if Russia pops a nuke, I just hope the UK has used all it's instant sunshine on the first day. I'm old, not too much to lose.
