    PIR code for bathroom lights

Hello again, well unfortunately I do not have my reports with me but if required can easily email to anyone who seems interested! I do not mind another spark giving my reports a look over, after all when it comes to PIR it is an interpretation of BS7671 and all sparks could easily give a code...

    PIR code for bathroom lights

yeah i like the sound of the code 3, even though i have been taught that you very rarely ever use a code 3 as you should always be able to come to a conclusion to what is up with the installation. On this occurence, it appears that the earth bond is there as I see it leaving the MET and under...

    PIR code for bathroom lights

but i guess if soemone comes in the future and does work on the water pipes then it would be there responsibility to ensure that the bonding was sufficient? If I wrote on the PIR that it was a code 4 and could get a reading off 34mA then that covers me :o)

    PIR code for bathroom lights

Hi To be honest, no i never removed the water PEB. I left it conected to the MET and measured of there. I suppose this only tells me if the pipe is sufficiently earthed and may not prove there is bonding?? But if the value was as low as i got and the earth bond was not there then does that...

    PIR code for bathroom lights

Hi, can anyone tell me what PIR code you would give for 240v spotlight's in a bathroom with no RCD protection? (done to 16th ed.) None of the spotlights are in zone 1, whom ever installed them placed them just outside the line of the bath. I was thinking of a code 2. but reading up you could...

    Short circuit capacity

Thanks guys, I appreciate the fact that I (as not been a DNO employee) should not be messing around with the service head and do understand that these ones especially could be easily broke since they are old and can be very brittle. Thanks to one and all, may all of you have a prosperous new...

No, the cut out was left as is. It is deemed to be fine and the earth fault loop was 0.2.

    TNS Fuse

    TNS Fuse

thanks for the replies. I had to have a look inside the fuse box just for my own curiosity. the holder had a fuse wire approx 1.5mm dia so i take it that this is 60A. The markings on the side of the fuse holder had 60A written on it, even tho it was difficult to make out as it was part of...

    TNS Fuse

Hi, I have found a picture of a similar set up, fingers crossed it is similar to the one I have come across. I will only be able to find out later. Therefore, can anyone tell me what kind of fuse this is? it appears to be a ceramic fuse with fuse wire used? As i have said I don't know...

well i have been and measured the PSFC (betwenn live and neutral) and the result was 1.18KV. this is the answer that I was first expecting and therefore why i asked the first question. Thereofre this is the value that I would put down on my test form. One question I have now? how come if my...
