    just when i think i am getting to know the system :-( ...... i can do the rads and the pump. (adjust which valve ? where is it ? ) and what is the pump service valve and where ? and i will take your advice and not open the boiler :-) thank you ...... is that the 3 way valve ?

    i would put money on that lol ..... it was upside down in the first place which would put the arrow on the other side pumping towards the valve so i will change it back so that it's right. after i have done that and taken some water out the tank what would you look at next ? i did see something...

    the large tank does drain down but the small f+e one stays the same as you can see in the pic it is quiet full so i will take some out of there. i am going to sound stupid now so here goes ..... where would the filters be ? thank you for your help !

    as you look at the pump in the pic the arrow on it is on the right hand side and it is pointing up. in the manual they do say this is right but i am nearly 100 % sure it was upside down when the old pump was on. i thought it had been put on wrong. but it has been working fine since i have lived...

    thanks for getting back to me dan ! much appreciated. i will swap the pump round again and take some water out of the tank. i did fire it up again 15 mins ago and it still did the same some very loud bangs and what sounds like some thing sliding back and forth,
