Hi all I have a creda 8.5kw shower,10 months old which has started playing up. When you turn it on to the setting we normaly have it on it does not get hot, the full power light does not come on till you turn the dial over half way, this results in cold water blasting out. I am getting a...

Where I can get Gala cistern flush mechanism spares please?

Does the cistern lid just lift off or do you have to unscrew the push button before it lifts off? If it just lifts off I think it could be a Pacific Lisbon flush valve, which is no longer available but you can get an alternative. If you have to screw the push button out, it could be a Siamp...

Yes or you can measure the threaded part of the cradle once you have lifted the cistern off the pan.

    Torbeck valve hum

Cleaning the seal on the inside usually makes the problem worse, it's doubtfull that the outside seal will have perished. You will not get a replacement seal, you will need to replace the whole unit.

    Torbeck valve hum

The vibrating noice will more than likely be from the flush seal leaking. On the Pacific flush valve it has 2 seals, the one you can see round the base & another on the inside of the unit. The seal you can see on the outside does not lift to let water into the bowl, its the one on the...

    Plumbing Advice Basement Toilet

Have you had the drain company put a camera down the line to check for any problems yet? The Council probably won't do this. If not that would be the first thing to try, as putting a macerator in might just mask any problems for a while, but they will still be there. Phone round & get...
