No it won't be a problem... wen bg turn up just make sure ya tell um what ya fiddled with as the system might not work as it should if the gate valves are set incorrectly.

If you are not getting a digital reading on the pump when there is power to it then the pump will be at fault.. The red things are gate valves, stop messing with them or ya could be creating more faults. The pics are too close to say what pipes they are on but I'd guess a balancing valve for...

If the pump is workin the pump should display a number, Try unplugging the pump and re-fitting the wire.. To me it does Sound like the pump has gone tho (I've changed loads of these recently) just ensure you are gettin power to it before replacing it.

Are you sure the pump is running? With the heating and hot water on what does the pump display? If it is running try setting it to manual 3 to clear any air ( use the > button)

Why does it matter if its a combi? From what you describe it sounds like the main heat exchanger is leaking.

Don't think so, your supplier wouldn't have any effect on a upgrade price anyway, being a homecare customer might do tho. Give um a ring and ask for a quote, but Iam 99% sure that would be the price.

bg have currently got a offer on the "remote controls", its basically the same set up as the wireless controls but you can use a app on a smart phone or txt it to control ya ch. they are currently £150 fitted.

the part with the rusted screws is ya primary flow switch, which is ok or the boiler wouldn't fire up
