    lol, before replacing check you have 230/240 v ac on the brown and grey wires

    prob wont be the pump.. wen ya turn the ch on using the wireless stat, the receiver turns green, can ya hear the receiver click? also check if the ch valve has moved to the b position

    yep, its a pump isolation valve.. bg went through a stint of fitting these as they are cheaper. if i was you i wouldn't use it as they normally leak and normally carry on leaking.. what are ya trying to do?

    don't do anything! just leave it, if the sys pressure rise's to 3bar the plate has gone, if it doesn't don't worry.. ya don't have to drain any water it wont effect the safety or operation of the boiler. IF it does turn out the plate has gone, bg do a fixed price repair and it would be £189...

    it could take weeks! the pressure rising whilst the sys is running is just the water expanding with the heat which is normal

    its common for the plate heat exchangers on these to split internally and allow the mains pressure to pressurize the ch circuit. if this is the case your sys pressure will continue to rise up to 3bar. if it doesn't don't worry

    could of been air trapped in the boiler, did the pump sound different? how come ya didn't get the engineer back to sort it?

    norm the disconector, n id be more worried if ya ant had it serviced for a while and theres a big pile of melted plastic because the upgraded graphite seal hasn't been fitted :mrgreen:

    why do ya want to change it? remove the L N E connections from the source, 1 is ya switch live from ya timer to ya room stat, 3 is ya switch live from ya stat to ya boiler/valve
