HI
one way to check if a radiator is blocked.turn off all other rads leave one open with the full boiler power the rads hould get hot if it does not then you know there is a fault.but also make sure
1.rad valve is open
2.TRV is not stuck
HI
turn mains water off.wear suitable clothing.boots,gloves,googles,etc.
use stanley knife to cut silicone around tray and the screen.remove screen and disconnect waste pipe to the tray.carefully lift the tray.if the tray is heavy ask assistance.
HI
Stop tap outside is usually at about o.75m deep from ground level.it might be buried under leaves, soil, etc.it is wise to change the internal stop tap when posssible.
HI
pipes passing through wall must be sleeved to protect from wall movement etc.to fit a sleeve existing pipe need to be cut and put sleeve in.usually one size up.
HI
it sounds like circulation problem.feel flow and return pipes as they exit the boiler are they hot ?what is the pipe size close to the boiler and if reduced what is the distance from the boiler.
HI
thats better.you need to pressurerise the system/fill water in the system.there should be filling loop somewhere usually silver flexible pipe with black plastic lever.while filling the pipes also have to bleed the radiators.the gauge has to be between 1-1.5 bar. :D
HI
1.might warm the rads quicker not hotter but the difference is only about 6-7 minutes and if the house is smaller pump speed should be on 2 to prevent excessive water speed, noise, cavitation in the fittings, etc
2.only close trvs
