Does it ever come up with any fault codes? The symptoms sound like its either misfiring, due to warped ignition electrodes or your experiencing initial stages of thermistor faults... Does it ever sound loud when it lights up? like a loud 'bang' or rolf harris style 'wa-woomp'? I'd...

    Monoblock mixer

The only reason you would consider putting any form of valve prior to the tap is for maintenance reasons. With a mixer tap, it is strongly advised, as they do sometimes need to be repaired. A non-return valve is exactly what it says on the tin, when water has passed through, it will not be...

Vaillant Eco Tec Plus 831 - Frost Protection needed?!

Leave the boiler turned on, and turn down your Central Heating and Hot Water temperature selectors to their lowest settings. Also turn off your clock and turn down your Room Thermostat if you have one. This should prevent the boiler firing to give you a boost for running taps, and should...

    repressurising megaflo

The red knob you operated is a Pressure Relief Valve, so what you actually did was relieve pressure/open a tap and remove water from your system. To replace the water, you need to look for a 'filling link' - a silver, braided hose, usually with 2 taps, and open one at a time, whilst keeping...

Am I allowed to replace my bathroom - rules and regulations?

Pardon me for being 'vague' but its 'one of them'... I believe, if you were to be doing this 'by the book' you'd have to do it, but there'd be no real need to, unless you were in social housing/commercial premises, in my opinion. You could always argue, you haven't actually replaced the...

Am I allowed to replace my bathroom - rules and regulations?

If you wish to have the pipework earthed, then do the bathroom and call in an electrician to do it... You could even put earth clamps on to everything ready and have the electrician run a final earth to your consumer unit. The job itself is very easy to do.

NOx emissions plug - will bills be less?

I doubt very much, you yourself, will notice a difference... However, it is apparently proven that they do reduce emissions. I think Worcesters come with them as standard now?

Your not a tw@. You were just acting tw@ish. As I mentioned, you need to be 100% correct, with a username like that, or people are going to give you hell. Go back to basics, and ask yourself, 'whats missing from the complete combustion equation'? A clue, would be to consider what you...
