    A very old existing normal mains smokes alarm. Not sure what brand it it! Its very close to the door and whatever I do sets it off. The iron is nearby and whenever I use it it sets of the smoke alarm

    Hi all, Is it okay to place a heat alarm in the hallway and not a smoke alarm? The reason being the current smoke alarm is right outside the kitchen door and whenever I am cooking it is always going off. It is mains so would need to be in the same location. Thank you

    okay its me again and im sorry... instead of redoing everything if I apply LS-X (or if you can recommend something else pls do) to where I think it is leaking will this fix the leak (even if its temp)? obviously, I would make sure everything is dry etc before applying...
