Hi Guys, I have a mixer tap on the basin in my upstairs bathroom, for some reason every so often it will spurt a bit of water out even though the tap is turned off, please could anybody shed anylight on as to why it is doing it.. :roll:

Hi Guys, What exactly do the retaining clips on cavity wall ties do, are the just there to hold the cavity insulation in place ??? As i am using dritherm it wil fill the cavity so surley there is no need for me to use these is there ???

Not as far as i know my friend, im afraid you just have to take into account your mix, atmospheric conditions and the state of whatever your plastering.

Sorted at last took 13 hours and 80 barrow loads of cement but i now have foundations in, hoooooray.

You go for it 'logi', if you dont have a go you will never know if you can do it. Whats the worst that can happen, it all goes pear shaped and you have wasted £30 on plasterboard and a bag of gypsum then have to call out a plasterer to sort it for you. Giv it a go and see what happens.

Cheers for that Noseall, the bottom of the trench is a little soft due to rain etc, but i plan to dig than out a bit before laying the concrete.

Found out what it is guys, for your future reference its called a water table, apparantly different areas have different water tables, this identifies how far you can dig down prior to water penetrating the hole.

Well thats great news :D , i have the BCO coming tomorrow so hopefully everything will be fine and the concrete can go ahead as planed next weekend.

Wow your good m8, ever thought of being a medium ??? (youve got to be better than Derek Achora) But yes, Home building site, Piddling puddle which does seem to be getting bigger, water appears to be clear though. Is it just coming up through the soil ???

Diggings not the prob really, thats all done now, just cant understand why there is a puddle there and were its come from.

What could be causing it then Noseall, is it just coming up from the soil ???
