    up in the top corner is a stain in the area where the ceiling and two walls meet. It is directly under the hot water storage tank/immersion heater. I cannot find any leaks or other causes for this to keep coming through but even after a thick coat of basecoat, it has come through again.

    just a pain in the bum, this wall. stain marks just keep coming through. Basecoat over the top and (hopefully) problem cured.

    these horrible things will be gone soon. spot the replacement pot of paint from the DIY store,., this will be going on the walls as soon as picture 1 (the epic doorway) is put right.

    behind my PC, which I am using to do this, the paint just kept on peeling off. Basecoat and rub down twice has cured that particular headache.

    right hand side of the problem wall, had to skim over this side as it was covered in too many scrape marks and gouges to use polyfilla. easier to just skim over with a bit of finishing plaster and feather the edge out to the window reveal.

    This wall has been a major headache for two weeks. I have yet to remove the cables hanging down the wall, and fix the hole in the ceiling, but they are on the "todo" list.

    This is the "finished" version of my doorway, behind the printer and filing cabinet. It is a bad job, even by my standards. It needs to come off and be redone, which it will later, but for now, it will be left alone.

    just to show the area where the plaster comes down the side of the door and the drop of the stairs creates a tight area to plaster. I used a narrow pointing trowel to get a smooth finish.

    you can see the other curve in this wall, to stairwell, and it is a severe curve. right on the edge of the doorframe.

    Here is the contrete lintel over front door, was bare but now plastered over and painted white, with box over pipes mwerging to create a better finish.<br>Note timber batten for curtain track. It gets cold in this area.

    Two pipes, central heating, came through here and went up into ceiling floorspace and were FUGLY, so boxed in and plastered over.
