Is your call to the emergency services really necessary ?

    Ebay customer support=Rubbish

Have a bit of faith kev  No, your completely right. I never leave feedback for a buyer (immediate payment or not) until they have left feedback for me. I do admire sellers who leave ++ feedback straight away after you pay for an item ASAP, but sadly they seem to be the minority on...

Wireless PIR's on a wired system

Not really. it depends on your current alarm system and how clever it is but depending on routing to the garage (eg/ soil/concrete etc) you could always fit a cabled PIR or 2 from the main unit and program it/them as a seperate zone that is armed even when the house is not (eg at night)...

Thanks Deluks Some good ideas in there. Is it worth me putting a vent at each end to vent the new 'cavity' or is it not worth it do you think? considering there is airflow at present .. Collar ties sound good but they will have to be very shallow to mean that i dont whack my head on them...

    Selling a pre-fab garage

It would defintely be sellable. You might not get a huge amount for it but one mans junk is another mans treaure and all that :) As for the asbestos roof, you would need to check, but I would 'guess' that provided the structure is dismantled correctly and the asbestos is not broken up then...

22mm Chipboard flooring - Anyone know weightbearing ability?

Thanks for the input.. With hindsight I think I should have gone for flooring grade ply :? I did think about it at the time but I was trying to keep the cost of the shed in line with still being a shed rather than a small house and hence went for the chipboard. The stand does indeed...

22mm Chipboard flooring - Anyone know weightbearing ability?

ok guys. Ive recently built up a smallish workshop/shed from a 'Waltons' kit and as the floor was so atrocious I made my own. 9ft by6ft 4x2 timber bearers at about 15" centres, with noggins every 3 feet or less! Im using 22mm tongue and groove chipboard flooring as opposed to 18mm and...

    Interior wooden door sticking

Whats the weather been like? and has the door been treated with a grain sealant? Damp, cold weather seems to make some wooden doors get a bit upset, but sometimes when the weather picks up again I have found my door is ok again. I would wait until the weather is decent (average temperature...

    Perimeter related

Im liking the painting the fence idea :) Good plan.. I would do the same....just dig it discretely while painting your fence and skip the earth if theres a lot or put it in your flowerbeds.. Its amazing how fast a few tonnes of soil disappears into a large garden
