When I bought my house it was over a hundred years old Steve but it had been used as a guest house(all the doors had numbers on them!!) and the two old women lived in (mother and daughter) one room at the back of the house, all the old features had been ripped out except around the front door...

As long as there are no damp problems on the inside wall where it shows outside you should be fine. But do check inside and have a look in that area...

You are right Steve it is nice to see that young lads are keeping the traditional cornice's and mouldings and decorative plastering alive.. (Great pics)..
