Coving for LED lights - using regular curved coving?

Sounds like a great plan. My coving (the plaster stuff) is only fixed with adhesive. No screws or nails were used. I have never used the lightweight stuff so cant comment on how it will function. Cant imagine there will be any problems though. Good luck and let us know how it works out :-)

I would respectfully ask that you no longer post against this thread. I am sure that there are many others that could better benefit from your experience and time.

Coving for LED lights - using regular curved coving?

We only use the colour for the baby, the rest of the time it is warm white only. Having the option of controlling each wall is useful as you can turn just the back wall on when watching TV etc.

Coving for LED lights - using regular curved coving?

Could have guessed that you would be the only person to have so much time available so as to pick up minor shadows and then go to the effort of pointing it out (n) . I think someone needs to get a life and stop trying to get a rise out of people. In the flesh the feature of the coving and...

Coving for LED lights - using regular curved coving?

In case you are wondering what the cable is doing hanging down from the corner, that is waiting for a speaker to be wired up :-)

Coving for LED lights - using regular curved coving?

Yes I did do the coving and it looks really good. The design did get adapted slightly. 1. I screwed the battons in to the ceiling to give me the gap. I did not have a continuous line of battons though, only about 80% of each stretch was covered. 2. I ran wires under the battons. I have a largish...

Drilling Large Holes in Wood Blocks

Maybe a small chainsaw followed by chisels and then lots of sanding both by hand and using round drill sanding bits - never done it myself and I am no expert. Just thinking out loud as to how I might approach it!

4 draw runner (2 pairs) on 1 draw

Hi, I am building some built in draws into the area underneath my ground floor stairs. I originally planned to have two draws in one section but due to aesthetics I would now rather have 1 very large draw with a shelf. I have the extra pair of draw runners and despite having bought industrial...

Build your own garage door - hanger style

Alternatively - I guess I could go the opposite way, and make the opening as high as possible, thus allowing me to create a false ceiling or at least some form of strong supports to hang stuff from going underneath it. So long as it is accessible if there is an issue with the tracks then I...

Build your own garage door - hanger style

That is exactly what it is. The downside is the loss of space on the ceiling, but at least I wont lose too much wall space as well. I was also thinking that if I keep the opening a bit lower then the tracks would also be equally low allowing me to use the space above the tracks for some storage...

Build your own garage door - hanger style

The windows would be blanked out with a satin/frosted finish. This garage is part of the house (townhouse) so there are two stories and a roof above it :-)

Build your own garage door - hanger style

Wow - thanks for all the insight guys. A lot to think about here which I cant do at work. Gonna have to digest this later in the week when I have some decent time available. Tonight I am plastering one of my bedroom ceilings so not much time. This is all getting rather complicated. Hydraulics...

Build your own garage door - hanger style

I appreciate that other people do have them in bug hangars like that. I think their issue is that they dont want to sink the lower track into the bottom of the house. To be honest, most installers seem to shy away from anything non standard. My wife and I would also prefer to to have side...
