Well a wb with a 7 yr warranty takes it above 1200 for the boiler alone doesnt it ? which i would think makes it a bit steap for some but especially a for a let property . I also wasnt aware you had to pay extra for admin on the warrantys till i was told in the CC.

What would you charge to change any random make combi to a wb with a 7 yr warranty ?

Id say plan your boilers life span on 7 yrs thenn work out if you think that total cost is worth on based on your boiler options. Youl be paying alot more for a worcester which are far from bullet proof . Id say the logic would come out on top here , but your more than likely going to have...

Only time will tell , and lets face it IDEAL had to change and all evidance up to now as been ok . Id say 7 yrs for a combi would give a true picture. Its just getting tarred with the same brush because its Ideal and theyve got a lot to repaire (bridges) after its last generation of " **** boxes".

Its not an ISAR , completely different boiler . Its more than a bit small minded to just come out with that comment.

Its times like that make ya want to be self sufficeint , solar thermal/pv ect and fook the utility companys off.

They are bother sealed systems you can get a leak on either system . I think unvented are the best systems especially for a family and especially for propertys with more than one bathroom , You might want to consider a twin coil cylinder if you go that route so its solar ready should you...

All im interested in is getting my installs up and running working correctly and getting no call backs . I dont get involved in electrics and i stick to what i know works . Pipe stat/frost stat and no call backs.

I don't get involved with electrics and im not saying the built in frost stat doesn't have a function. Its always been standard practice to fit a boiler exposed to outside conditions with a frost/pipe stat. ive often wondered why a boiler that says it has frost protection requires any...
