Do any of the professional plumbers here have a website? Is it worth doing one? Or are leaflets through letter boxes and newspaper adds a better idea? I've rarely seen plumbing leafelets come through the door so not sure if this is an avenue worth pursuing.

Is every hot water tap giving no water? Did you turn the water off for any reason? If so could be an air lock in pipes. Any error lights on boiler? What boiler do you have?

The trap shouldnt cause this issue. it does sound like a blockage in the pipe somewhere, could be a ball of hair and buildup of soap scum causing this. Several things you could try yourself to save a bit of money. Try a plunger to see if you can clear the blockage, or Mr Muscle drain blocker...
