UPVC sash window fixing issue with brackets

The lugs should be designed to clip on, the 50mm overhangs the front of the sash and needs to be bent at a right angle so you can then fix into the stone work. Personally never used lugs on sash, we always screw timber around the sash, gives us something to pin the timber architraves to. A God...

Pic 5, turn the screw and the hinge should move the door. If the door is catching at the bottom, need to send the bottom of the door away from the hinge and the top towards the hinge. May have to re pack the glass/panel (toe and heel)

    French doors installed too low?

Trickle vents on a knock through? Its not technically a new opening is it? I don't fit them on a knock through. Also I quite often go below DPC on a knock through to give the lowest possible threshold. I wrap a new dpc down and round although Ive always considered this over kill as the PVC...

    French doors installed too low?

Looks to be welded in one Gaz, top right I think you can just make the weld out viewed inside. The fitter is clutching at straws if if thinks he'll replace the side screens, will look naff as well This install needs to go though LABC to be signed off, depending what inspector you get, if it's...

    Bi fold door,

Can go upto 1200mm per pane on ALuk, I'd go for 3 pane, better sight lines, the door can then fold round onto the other doors instead of being hinged on the wall side which is your only traffic door option on a 4 pane

Save your money, they serve no purpose apart from guiding the window in. Most installers remove as in time they only catch. If the vent has been packed correctly it won't be needed

Replacement 'J' Shaped Bay Window - Double Glazing

The 15mm discrepancy is where they deduct the bay pole from the overall measurement. 530 is from the weld of the sill to end of the window

Replacement 'J' Shaped Bay Window - Double Glazing

The surveyor has replicated the existing sizes presuming they are correct. Looks like the old bay was 100mm short on the end window, the surveyor has presumed the trims are there for a reason and gone with the same width, when the trims really should of been removed. It's not correct, the...

Was there a contract including payment plan? Are the company Fensa or Certass registered? All installations should be certified within a month of the install date. (2 weeks for Fensa) Windows being fitted 18 months ago and still not signed off tells me they are not Fensa reg. Start asking...
