Solved... heater,,,

Tested with a megger cm500 installation tester. both power pind shorted out measured to earth pin at plug. more than 299 mohms untill the machine turned to any "ON" setting, then drops to 2 k.... the guy who tested is a sparky type but knows a little bit about other stuff. machine trips...

Have had insulation resistance checked and ite 2,000 ohms ( 2k ) I have been told it may be carbon from the brushes coating the backplate of the motor ? Any thoughts??

Ive been on the service for years and up untill a couple of months ago had almost no unwanted calls . However I now get 3 or 4 a day... That truecall unit looks to be the bees knees.

Like everything else in this world, test equipment can be bought and maintained in calibration by anyone with the readies. I have quite an old CM500 ( had it calibrated last year ). I must admit its nice to know the readings on the test paperwork I was given after a CU change at home here are...

We have no problems with hard water at all. Hence no scale buildup! We never use any abrasive substances on any of our taps and fittings, Only soap and water.

Nope none of that either !! I will give them a call tomorrow to complain..
