I have a hot tap that has become very discoloured over the past year or so. The store I bought them from said there was a 10 year warranty. The pictures show the hot tap and the cold tap on the basin. should I try and claim a new one ?

As I said before she lives a hundred miles or so from here so will need a proper spark to do the job. As long as its safe for now thats great. when she gets the place done up all that stuff will be gone anyway...

Unless you have a 3 phase supply ALL your house is effectivly on the same circuit.

I would consult an electrician .... However, what you reqire is simply a contactor of suitable capacity annd a simple switch to control it. ( radial supply.)
