Hot water back filling storage tank

I would ignore your boss I have met his type many times before :D Or go and get a new job. Start the basic way open some outlets hold on to the hot supply pipes if they cool quicker than they would naturally then that is the offending device.

    thermostate shower

The reason it has worked okay I assume is that your ratio in pressure is within the working band of the valve, now for some reason you cold pressure is higher and it is now outside the ratio. example if the valve will work at a ratio if 5:1 the you can have 0.2 bar pressure on the gravity hot...

    tivoli duo shower

They always rename products for the big boys so the consumers cannot find cheaper prices. It then becomes a pain for parts. If you email enquire at the company name you mentioned dot com with that query they will tell you the part number for the tivoli cartridge.

    unvented cylinder issue.

I have my mains unvented cylinder lying down horizontal and the thermostat to control the temp is pants, it is 210 liters and as the stat position is in the middle, I do not get the full capacity at good temp, I reckon a secondary circuit purely for the cylinder is the best solution. Grundfos...

    thermostate shower

You sound like it the best solution is to reduce the mains pressure this is done 3 ways a, a pressure reducing valve on the cold supply or b, a pressure balancing valve or C a flow restrictor. Pressure reducing valves I have not found one that gets as low as 0.2bar that works well If anyone...

    Water pressure

Most of xwaters taps are designed for 0.2bar pressure (2meters distance between the bottom of the cold water storage tank and the tap spout) but if you had the old style washer type valves in the taps and seperate hot and cold handles they they will not give you the same performance...

Planned shower - concealed pipes, sleeving, make etc.

Recessed valves have a better flow rate but with your system not really an issue. You can buy plastic sleeving copper pipes in lengths that are split down the centre so they can be fitted after plumbing. http://www.tapstore.com/acatalog/copy_of__SL3_Bar_Shower_Valve.html I have used this...

    Water pressure

did not read that one right  So whats he doing with hot water plumbed to his toilet  The reason I think it might be air is that he say's he had a bathroom refitted and he has two as quoted "both bathrooms", In a cloakroom basin the flow rate is a lot lower for function so there...

    Water pressure

If you have only had one bathroom refitted and the old bathroom is lower in pressure than before then either they have fitted extra valves somewhere or they have not bled the system of air properly. Could the downstairs wc be on mains therefore that is why it is not effected.

    boosting my pressure

No thats fair enough I would agree. If Mrrigidtool had plumbed it in with a pressure balancing valve because of me I am deeply sorry
