    Shower Pump intermittent - help!

There are a few things it could be due to: How old is the pump? What shower valve is it? How much distance between the bottom of the cold water storage tank and your shower head? Can you try it with the handset/shower head off? At a guess I would say it is the reed switch or the PCB...

Performance after fitting shower booster pump

Yes ditch them. Full bore flexi, Full bore valves. As ChrisR say's 1.5bar not good. Does the Manual that comes with the shower reccomend 1.5 bar most showers with diverters to multi outlets need at least 2bar and more, Most pumps of that size require 22mm pipe work. you can reduce to...

    pressure equalising valve

It is neccesary to use a pressure balancing valve. and they are more like £43.00. It might be a good ideal to install and cheap thermostatic shower valve in there(based on the assumption that it is a manual shower valve). Manual shower valves should not be used with combi's.

Now I am getting confused here the pressure reducing valves I am talking about are in the drawing in the first posts Re pre basins nothing to do with the pressure reducing valve fitted prior to the cylinder or otherwise Know as Pressure balancing valve as that is where the Cold supply is taken...

You have a pressure switch with the pump as in the first post you have a pressure vessel you are sorted, that means it will fill you system boost up to the desired pressure you set the switch too, charge the vessel then stop. It really does not matter where the cold water storage is in this...

    Noisy shower&basin pump

You will need to have as much 22mm as poss in the supply line and tee off to the shower or basin which ever is first in 15mm for the guarantee. Really the last 2 meters to each outlet should be 15mm. Do not reduce immediately after the pump as this will add noise and invalidate the...

    boosting my pressure

I find it a bit strange that, people are suggesting that an accumulator is going to boost the pressure I have spoken to a manufacturer this morning and they say quite clearly that it will not increase the pressure; it will increase the flow via a volume of stored water that is pressurized by the...

    boosting my pressure

If you mount the pump below the Cold stored water less chance of air problems, I assume you have the Pressure switch that plumbs directly on top so allow good space. pressure vessel on pipe work after pump before cylinder. Simple because an accumulator will not increase the pressure from...

    Which type of shower?

Hmm!! They are okay if used daily they will last 4-6 years should deliver 10 liters per min for shower which is fair but rolls royce they are not. It is a cheap solution as electric shower which will give you 4-7 liters per min can be expensive to install (electrically) and sounds like you...

    boosting my pressure

You have not stated the size of the tank so it could well be big enough. Why not install them and do a flow test, I would guess that the jets you would get 4-6liters per min from each and the head depending on the size and the type lets say 8" modern rub clean type 14- 18 liters @3.0 bar...
