Sounds like it could be a blocked dhw heat/exch.

They have a problem with the ign. i.e very noisey .I will not be using them till it is sorted.The ali h/exch is used for cost purposes it is a cheap boiler and is cheaper to produce ali h/ech by the 1000 out of a foundry mould than pay to have a fabricated s/s ones.

Have been fitting a few of these recently and have a couple come up with the fault code. One was sticking pump the other was water pressure switch have been told by vaillant the pressure s/be at least 1.5bar

How else would you drain a boiler without a boiler drain cock then.Seems in the realms of d.i.yer without endangering the neighbourhood.

I agree about the aqua sensor gasguru but not on a 10 year old boiler i think they did not change till about year 2000 onwards possibly the wrong info being posted.

The diaphram is in the divertor on a 10 year old model best to replace the lot [divertor complete} they tend to leak. should take about 25 min when used to doing them, allow yourself an hour.I adjust the micro switch as well.

isolate the flow and retun release the prv filter underneath the pump if it is a SD30E p.s prv will probably leak so another way is to put hose on system drain cock

First check the gas at the boiler is switched on. Check meter is on if token you have credit, if yes to these , callout corgi to check gas valve/lead etc. If the property is h/a then it is there responsibility to fix it

Ignore previous post wrong boiler If it continues to spark after the pilot is established it could be a fault on the ign. lead not rectifying the fuse blowing could be due to ext. controls/pump the aps is made to start the sparking process and has 240v through it so coud blow a fuse if wiring...

If the thermister blows as chris said it takes the board out,but you still have power/fault lights you will have to bite the bullet and get a corgi out as it seems very likely the gas valve is faulty, silly thought is the gas isolater on the previous engineer may have turned the gas off.

The micron 50 does not have a twin electrode the 70/80 does.The new pcb is supposed to be good, fitted one last month lasted one ignition before breaking down. The replacement has lasted so far.
