    Check the wiring diagram connections on the back of programmer, terminal 1 is "on" not "off", the switch connections shown on the back of programmer cross over look closely, i think 1 is hw on and 4 is hw off.

    Mixer taps are supposed to be byflow (if they are legal) so no cross connection can happen, if it is a ilegal mixer cold water going back up hot pipe will come out of open vent but only when both taps are on and it won't know what time of day it is the op says only at night.

    Triton electric shower would/should be connected to the mains supply not down services so it would be impossible unless you have a cross connection somewhere.

    If you mean you are going to renew underground drain and new soil stack then yes you will need to vent above highest window approx 1 metre. The vent pipe is required to stop the flush from the toilet causing self syphonage which will remove water seal in wc pan and let in foul smells from sewer.

    What type of electric shower have you got?. When you say water is back filling into cold tank do you mean up the cold feed to the cylinder or up the open vent pipe?. If you mean up the cold feed to the cylinder, this would not be possible if your plumbing is correct because you should not...

    By opening the pressure relief valve you have got some sludge holding the valve off it's seating, you need to turn it on and off with a snap action a few times this will usually reseat it, the repressurise.

    If you have manholes on the main drain at the junctions of stub stacks, you won't need rodding eyes as you will be able to rod back to stub stacks. You can install clearing eyes on stub stacks as well.

    Most likely blocked heat exchanger, pressure vessel might need repressurising and i would renew pressure relief valve.

    Why do you have to keep patching it up?. Can you post pic's?. Have you removed cistern from pan, is there one large nut bolting the syphon unit through the cistern?.

    Yes but you should check with local public dept. Use durgo valves on stub stacks make sure you have manholes at both junctions of stub stacks for rodding access.

    Water rushing sounds in pipework usually means air. Do you mean all flow & returns are 15mm or do you mean gas supply is 15mm?.
