    thanks gas guru, i cant explain the connection bit to the pipe very well but the wire goes into this thin metal clip that u can turn and pull backwards and forwards but couldnt see how it came off. just scrape around it to clean or do i need to get into it? just filled boiler and system...

    It's a Vaillant Turbomax Pro 24e boiler. I didn't bash it hard just caught the very end plastic bit that snapped off ( probably about 2/3 inches and longer at the top and rounds off until further back underneath. Already got it booked in to be serviced on 4 Aug that was arranged last week...

    I was just carrying some wood down my side alley way and smashed the end of the plastic thing that's on the outside wall at the end of the flue pipe. What's the actual name for it? And can I be replaced? Thanks
