Your other alternative is if you have a combi boiler... i presume that you haven't because you are wanting to install electric, but as an option you could do this, if you had a good enough combi.

i agree with breezer... time for a replacement of wires technical term for (Rewire) :lol: however there are light fittings that are doubly insulated out there. If it was me though i would prefer to have the option of having earth wire and then trim back if the fittings were double...
