Thanks for the reply guys, any links to such rods and plunger? If they are straight rods I take it I'll have to find the manhole and do it from that end as from the drain side there was a bend right at the start.

I'm looking for something reasonably priced for unblocking a drain. I popped into B&Q and Homebase and they both had a dual purpose drain and chimney rod set, but as the rods have very little bend in them I don't see how I would get them down the first bend in my drain...

I take it you use it inside a bucket or something to catch the paint flying off them.

Horrible cheesy video, but these look pretty good for cleaning rollers very quickly. Can't find them in the UK though. Worth it? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2399646198961109376 Also are microfiber rollers worth it supposedly they hold more paint and splatter less?
