    Also if you're going to put an isolation valve on with water coming through always put it on open as the pressure will keep pushing it off, then close it as soon as it's on properly

    Is your installer going to powerflush ?, as already stated £800 for the boiler + flue + thermostat + copper + consumables, then you have new TRV's at £20 each + fitting, If you're looking at £1,500 I'd guess you ain't getting a pro install, get more quotes but on that boiler fitted properly...

    yes you should be able to do that, also depends whats underneath but i have put discreet inspection hatches in ceilings under such installs, done well it can look good, good luck with your install

    compression are fine, For the belt and braces approach put some thread seal on them like Plumba or LSX, can you not put them somewhere were you can get to them in future like under bath in loft etc

    As long as you have sufficient flow rate and pressure it's a cracking boiler, Some will advise on other makes but you'll do well with a Vaillant

    stop cock will be fine, if you do that then you won't need to turn off iso valve, check water is off first though, see my first reply and there is a link to screwfix with the iso valve you have

    Dito, only if the toilet is under mains pressure though, if it's system fed turning of the stop cock won't stop you getting very wet if the iso valve fails you will have to turn of the gate valve from the tank in the loft, if it's not a pegler i would just plug the tank

    Do you have isolating valve like this one http://www.screwfix.com/p/15mm-x-straight-service-valve/58008 if so then you should be able to undo nut on valve from plastic thread, should be simple
