    if the preassure has dropped since you have been living it sounds like either the flow regulator or heat exchanger is blocked, this is not linked to your radiators :D

    it sounds like the boiler needs a service and the electrode needs a clean. when the electrode gets dirty it stops recognizing a flame thus causing the boiler to go to lock out. you could try home care services on 01442 247248 they specialize in powermax's

    very bad advice given! :( the powermax is a very good boiler and will out perform most combi boilers. it sounds like your boiler has scaled up, this is easily fixed, a descale and a new blender valve will sort the boiler out and a combimate will stop it happening in the future! :D

    we have had 3 or 4 paying customers from this site. we do not always have the time to check the site and add new, so doing it this way, people do not have to trawl through the posts to get help or advice as our telephone number is in the find an expert, and po12 postcode. :D :D :D :D

    i agree with gaz, but the whistling problem is easy to fix it is an adjustment on the gas valve. the air gas ratio is wrong

    the early models had blue pcbs and the really really early models had a black pcb " before your time though :lol: "

    if the green light comes on for about 3 seconds then goes off the pcb or electrode is not recognizing a flame. i would start with a look at the type of pcb in your boiler ( 2002 should be a blue pcb) get it upgraded.

    to find out if it is scale remove the top pipe on the blender valve and look inside the cylinder "coil" this should be clear and if it is scaled it will be very green and scale will be very visible

    sounds like the blender valve has packed up, or if your in a hard water area scale will be the problem, both are easily fixed :lol:
