My house was built in 1996, and the Artex ceilings came back as NADIS- (No Asbestos detected in sample) I would advise to get any Artex tested no matter what the age if you are unsure.

How old is this rope? If you are going to disturb it, then get it tested first.

A plasterer skimmed my ceilings and being a 90s house, its unlikely to have asbestos. I later got it sampled and came back no asbestos detected. However, all Artex/Textured coatings should be tested for asbestos before they are drilled, or scraped.

I think you are getting confused with AIB this can look like plasterboard. I don’t think plasterboard has ever contained asbestos, as it’s fireproof anyway

Brexit is a mess, and I yet always got the impression we were going to leave in a smooth and orderly fashion.

I don’t recall anything being said about a deal on the ballot paper. We need to leave the EU, without a deal and think about one later
