Teeing off hot and cold water for new downstairs Shower room

I'll start you off.. Why don't you put a couple of full bore isolation valves in at this stage so as you are progressing with the job you will have full control without having to keep switching the rest of the house off. I wouldn't worry about the 15mm tee off, if that's what you have then...

    Replacement stopcock

There are slip couplings availlable to solder onto copper where there is restricted movement in the pipe, but I am just guessing it could be used as I dont know your set up. Like as been said already could you post a picture. Andy.

    external gas pipes

Has the calculation been made to establish the correct size pipe for your 25m run. 22mm seems small for this run but I dont know the Kw input for the boiler or the number of bends in the pipework or other appliances it serves. For example a large ish boiler With other appliances will probably...

which is the best combi boilers

Imho I would say to go with Vaillant or Worcester over the Ideal. Probably more important is the quality of the instalation. Have you measured the flow rate of your incoming mains supply? If its low it could be why your hot is poor. Andy.

    A fine flush!

Could be that the flush diaphram is split or torn and not lifting the water as it should. Your new cistern will probably have a new style 4 / 6 ltr flush valve.

    Is this my stop valve???

Yes try and get at least one, but both would be best, working so you are in full control of your supply. All the best. Andy.

Try pouring some liquid soap on the joint seal to lubricate it, not washing up liquid thouugh as it can be corrosive on the rubber seal. Andy.

    Is this my stop valve???

Clockwise for off. These old stoptaps can weep a bit when turned off. I would try to locate your outside stop tap. You will then have full control. 1930's house it could be in the front garden or just on the street. Usually a small square metal cover and then the tap a good arms length...

Valves for towel radiator to connect to floor pipes

Bit confused what you are asking. If you could post a picture it would help quite a bit. Andy.

    Is this my stop valve???

Yes you have found it. It's on a lead water main. The lead will probably go upstairs to your bathroom where it will be changed over to copper. You should also have one outside the property somewhere. Would be nice to get both working and then replaced. Andy.

DeWalt Core drill - arbor wobble...

The arbour should have a pilot drill which pops into a hole in the centre of the arbour. If you are using it without the pilot drill then a big core will wobble.
