    Connecting two appliances to stand-pipe

    There is a gadget they make that fits onto top of standpipe with connection for 2 hoses, and it has a vent. But I would worry about whether or not the drainage from the standpipe can cope with discharge from both appliances simultaneously, especially if not on the ground (lowest) floor!

    Jesus H Christ! You don't want a single pipe system. You need flow and return pipes to from the boiler T ing off at each rad. The initial artery from the boiler needs to be in 22mm. Plastic is fine if you are any good at stuff but shouldn't be done as a rush job - that's when they fail!

    Do something similar but seal it with http://www.ct1ltd.com/ct1.html You need the top part of a plastic adjustable trap to screw onto the sink waste bowl. Ram the other end of this inside the lead and seal with CT1.
