Hi I'm having a walk in wardrobe/closet built for a bedroom. I barely have enough space to make this work so all wall space is at a premium and I really don't want to lose any. The floor will be carpeted and so underfloor heating won't be much use. Can anybody think of an alternate way...

I'd be interested to know the answer as well. Most of the houses on my road are brick for the ground floor and then pebble dash. As people have renovated over the years some have had the pebbledash removed and replaced by render and painted. Why should this cause damp?

Thanks very much. So would a 'stay' be considered appropriate as a measure to restrict opening but be easily overriden?

This is in relation to my extension. The original windows of the existing house are about 650mm above the floor so I would like the new ones in the extension to match. I've read that BR state that windows must be a minimum of 800mm above the floor. Is there any way around this or is it a hard...
