Adding Security Light To Existing Wiring

Unless light from one "overspills" into the area covered by the other light, in which case it'll think it's daylight and not operate until the other light has extinguished.

I think TLC need to update their website, as it does state:

You don't have excel installed? You could use excel viewer to view, or if you want a full office suite, try open office.

    PIR PC

Wrong kind of motion detection I think. The unit you linked to is for sensing movement of the unit, i.e. vibration. Not heat movement like a PIR.

Individual radiator thermostat - how to fit these?

    1) If you're talking about TRV's, yes they replace the valve at the end of the radiator. 2) As easy as changing a valve. How easy this is depends on the type of heating system you have and if you need to drain it down first. 3) Yep, pretty much. (this would probably be beter in the...

Why dose this happen? tumble dryer/rcd question

When you say same result, do you mean it now also trips the RCD when re-connected to the garage circuit? If so, then as previously mentioned the machine is at fault, probably caused by something moving when you moved it. Did you tip it up when you moved it? Some dryers have a condesation tray...

    Yet Another Bonding Question....

You can do, as long as it's a continuous single run with no breaks. What you can't do is run a piece of cable from gas to water then another cable from water to earth.

cooker hood chimney turn to go out of wall?

I guess you could carefully trim the "chimney" to allow you to mount it higher. We didn't run into that issue as we're in a 1860's house with quite high ceilings, so it's at my head height (I'm nearly 6'5")

cooker hood chimney turn to go out of wall?

It's *very* similar to ours (I think ours is just the unbranded OEM version), our duct goes up the wall about a foot, then turns 90 degrees through the wall. The metal cover goes all the way to the ceiling to make it look tidy and as if the extractor is vented through the roof.

cooker hood chimney turn to go out of wall?

It's more of a semi-circle than a tube. You fit your flexible ducting, then put this over the top of it to hide the ducting. See this image: http://www.bootskitchenappliances.com/productimages/large/hr62_02l.jpg

LPG for gas hob - DIY job ?

Most hobs (in my experience) come with different sized jet nozzels to fit when using LPG, and that's about it, nothing else special (apart from a sticker to stick on it to say it's running on LPG).

    Owl monitor saves the day!

Those owl things don't seem to be very accurate. We had one and it was still reading usage of over 1A whilst we were having our meter changed, the tails were disconnected from the meter, so guessing it was 1A of fresh air... My parents also had one, which gave a reading of ~350W when it...

    Electricity Leak?

We have a problem like that, if we plug a lamp into a socket a floor level it's brighter than one plugged in at worktop level, must be that ol' gravity pulling the elec-er-trick-er-ty downwards in the tubes.
