Might want to ask them again, I have family living in Wales and both lots upon calling Sky allowed them to set their regions to London. Only takes up to 2hrs for the new settings to be sent to the box and written to the card, there's a big button on the service system which level 2 CSA's sit...

Definitely NOT how you 'pimp your ride' !

You really should have called parking services and got that "thing" towed, it would have been a favour to society.

1W standby what has gone wrong

Still worth sticking it on standby as it powers down the HDD (so cuts down noise and heat), but essentially all standby does on a sky+/HD box is power down the HDD and turn off the video output (optical audio output stays on to avoid "pop" if you turn your box on after your amp). Everything...

One. Logitech harmony one. Replaced 10 remotes, pretty much anything can be done with the press of one button (i.e. sets the tv and amp to the correct inputs, dims the lights (if applicable for that activity), adjusts the volume, turns on the device and turns off anything that's not...

    ceiling speakers

I used to be a marantz man, but since shelled out for some NAD masters kit and never looked back. Paired with some quality of B&W speakers it's superb. Just waiting for us to find a house me and the missus like with a basement so I can do a nice home cinema down there. I got the kef system...

    ceiling speakers

We've a pair of these in our shower room and one of these in the bathroom. Wired with standard speaker cable (fairly thick as the runs are quite long), shower room powered by a mini-t-amp, bathroom with a larger t-amp with squeezeboxes as the source.
