changing the transformer on a led rope light

Don't think there's anything in it though (maybe a ferrite bead), it just feels like a lump of plastic, no hollow-ness to it. But either way, the product linked to is for use with 230v rope lights (just put a load of them away this afternoon - purchased from tlc) If you're just after a static...

changing the transformer on a led rope light

[/url] Umm... if you wire your LED's directly to that, you'll be feeding them approx 220.8v too much, which may result in a bit of a bang.

    Digital Meters

When you say "last year" do you mean 2008 or 2007 (you said your meter was replaced last year, but the date on it says 2007...), as electricity prices have risen quite steeply since 2007, which will account for a fair bit of the rise. Also, who's to say your old meter was 100% correct, it...

    free range - my foot!

It's your average consumers fault, they want it as cheap as possible, so the major supermarkets fill your bird, cow, pig, whatever with 50% water. Best thing is to go to your local independant.

    Guarantee?

Never had an issue with O2, I either call them and they send out a new one to be with me next day (with a return label to send back the duff one), or go into a shop and they swap it there and then.

    meter replacement

When our meter was due to be replaced about a year ago we wern't in. So they sent us a letter asking us to organise a time for them to change it within the next 6 months else they'll take legal action to gain access to their equipment. I didn't leave it to find out if their threats of gaining...

    design over function

One of our Sony ones (older) has the connectors in recesses coming out sideways from a central column down the rear center (similar to this), nice and easy to plug/unplug when mounted. The other two (newer) have them in recesses pointed straight back, as you say, an annoyance to plug/unplug...

What is it with these blue lights?

I think they look sh*t. I think people just put them up for extra chav points with their mates down the giro office.

    Complaint About O2

I found their security pretty lacking the other week... My contract SIM died, so I went to an o2 shop, asked for a new SIM, they went out the back got one and gave it to me, I left the shop. Obviously the new SIM didn't have my account details/number attached to it, so I called o2 told...
