Its all a bit Baxilly you probably i guess do not have the a.a.v pipe that you connect to your a.a.v and heat x i have had a look on Parts arena but i can not find the part number i am sure another will post the P.N but if not call Baxi tec

No the a.a.v pipe is cranked {bent] to fall in line

or the f#'# sixth seventh.........and so on.....

Just below that grommet there is a blanking plug fitted to the heat x secured by a "d clip".Make sure when you remove it that the o ring comes out with it if you dont you will struggle like ~~## to get the a.a.v pipe in.

Doh !..... and i thought "the ciggy smoke suggestion " was a bit strong :lol:

Because the heat is drawing your ciggy smoke towards the rad

Are you sure it is the "c.h " pump you are looking at ?

Check out the a.p.s and the a.p.s tubes and a.p.s venturi...for blockage or meltage [is meltage a real word ?]

Stop messing about with your boiler ! you and by the sound of it your heating engineer do not know what you are doing or talking about.
