    Its the first coat once applied comb it ,this means form straight lines so the second coat sticks to it .You can buy the combs in b&q

    Nice work mate. Apply scratch coat first 4-1 mix with some opti mix (feb). Then apply second coat same mix and float smooth. Then apply tyrolean finish slightly wetter mix in gun hold about 2 feet away and at 45 degrees and keep moving dont stop.

    Customer wants me to plaster straight onto breeze block as the room is very narrow and he doesnt want to reduce it by rendering or plasterboard. I have plastered on render no problem is it the same principle. Cheers

    Ceiling cracks

    It was a plasterboard ceiling.After the new skim there was no sign of cracks,after paint had dried these cracks appeared . The cracks are straight. Thanks

    Artex ceiling has been skimmed dried out over a week no cracks. Painted mist coat then second coat,now some long hairline cracks have occured, any ideas.

    Slightly wetter mix tan normal render. When applying stand about 2 feet back and apply while walking holding the gun at 45 degrees.
