    I have "coolag" now known as celotex aka kingspan(i think :?: ) in my loft 40 mm(its that size because it was free),between the joists and the spars,i dont even have any gaps for airflow :shock: but then again it was fitted back in the day :wink: Works good for me

    £1280 is still very cheap(I wouldnt enetertain it fot that price) but then again some people have no work on and in that situation you better of out making some thing than sitting at home making nothing.Like alsiter said,get more quotes.

    Also if it was done by a professional it certanly would not move.As for the birds nests?he has not fitted the stopper on the bottom of the first unit.Me also thinks he has just fitted it to the existing render.

    Get it felted with a top spec system by a reputable "felt" roofer and it will last 30 years.Icopol techno torch with grooves(sbs) is very good,google it as long as its layed onto a decent underlay the jobs a good un.

    Down Pipe joints

    If they are a nice tight fit nothing,if they are not so tight fitting then a bit of clear silicone but never glue incase you ever need to remove for whatever reason,blockage etc.

    It cant be done from the inside and chances are any water that got to the felt would probably come inside.

    Its seems to be the correct flashing around the flu but of greater concern is the state of the felt.The piece of lead seems to be in place as the flashing was probably not covering to bottom tile enough.A few more pics would be handy.

    I left myself wide open for that :oops: LOL i just stretch in such cases,heave,stretch but in all seriousness silicone is not to difficult to remove and there really is no need to add a screw.

    Beanz meanz heinz 8) I have since been talking to mate who has fitted these farco windows.He says they are ok and every bit as good as a velux???As i have never personaly fitted them i would not know but i would now give them consideration.

    To remove at a later date will not be a problem,ive done it and all you need to do is twist it.Thats why i never use glue as ive tried to remove ones that are glued and its a bad head.A screw could easily be removed but its simpler to use silicone.Agreed if screwed it will not go any where and...
