    see if you can remove the rubber seal from the opposite side first then use a thin bladed scraper to remove bead from centre.

    If you have sealed between the frame and the cill then you have sealed the concealed drainage channel, and it would be wise to remove the sealant or the water will back up to the inside of the frame causing untold problems.

    you could carefully try nail polish remover. white cloth only or the colour will bleed into the profile. or scrape very gently with a very sharp blade but if you get it wrong you could end up scratching the frame with the blade.

    if you want to make sure its not going to drop out and scare the shyte out of you add two spring clips to it as the magnetic catches can release in the event of a shock or vibration ( and I don't mean an electric shock ) :lol: for the smart ones out there.

    Even to fit this one window if you are not fensa registered it would need you to submit a building notice for building regs. and most authorities would expect to see some support above an opening even a small one . and even if you are fensa registered and fit a lintel this is structual work...

    no regulation that says you have to fit restrictors new windows now have to comply for fire regulations. not an argument i would get into on behalf of customer. land lords pay the bills not tenant. so keep landlord happy.

    I have just looked on data tag inside boiler" I lied" not intentionally it was jan 2002 installed but still older than 5 years actually 7 and still going strong (fingers crossed) so that means I have not lived here as long as i thought i had ( so where did that lost year go :shock:
