Nope,fixed price labour/materials all in,just like if the job takes 2 months instead of one the price will be the same.Would have been nice to have got the insulation for a third of the price but if sumin sounds too good to be true it usually is.

You do not need to use the stuff with ply on at all......

If i was going to rip them off i would have just used it regardless?sourcing materials at the most competative price is not ripping customers of if said materials are ok.

I would say its six of one and half a dozen of the other,neither are complicated,infact both ways are very simple.

Apparantly you cannot use kingspan cavity wall insulation with hot bitumin/torch on,you must use the stuff designed for roofs :cry: well thats what i priced for anyway i was just hoping to save a few quid but its no good if the jobs not going to be right.Thanks for the input. :wink:

As mentioned sun tubes would be ideal for this and as stated let in a hell of alot of light.

Hello noseall,do you know if kingspan insulation can be fited to felt roof with hot bitumin like other insulation boards?if so can it then be felted onto?Regrds cumbriaroofer30yrsexp.

All it is i have factory roof to do and can get a quantity of kingspan insulation cheap and it looks like coolag so wondering if its defo compatible with bitumin?Ill prob be using pour and roll as coolag releases gas(kingspan looks very much like coolag?) and without pur glass you get...

Never heard of it but ive yet to come across/hear of any tape/banding thats effective in the long term.

Me personally i wont do free estimates if someone is wanting it for a property they are thinking of buying.I will supply a roof survey for £60.Tbh i think he would struggle to even get 3 estimates as many people just will not do free estimates in such circumstances.
