Yes that's what he has done. He added the contacts and dual tech to the zone already covering the outhouse and then turned off the chime but I want the chime on in case someone tries to get in through the day.

thanks for the reply shed 1 is fed from CU with RCD shed 2 is fed from shed 1 through conduit with t&e to a garage CU. is it difficult to change the RCD in the CU or is it a job for a pro ? I am a confident diyer and can do most things but dont like to take too many risks. thanks for your help

Hi guys This setup sounds just like mine. If there is a fault both rcd trip house and shed. Would it be a big job to make just the rcd in the shed trip and not the house one ?? Many thanks and sorry for the hijack ;-)

Don't know if this helps but this used to be a common fault on Audi A4 (which is an almost identical car). problem with the immobiliser a wire from the chip reader to the ecu.

Dunno to be honest. Just looked at the span and the joist sizes. But I really don't plan on too much weight going up there just gaming stuff. Maybe I should have just said it was for storage eh lol :D

oh well thanks for the info so far but im still none the wiser as to why 8x2 joists are no good to span wall plate to internal load bearing wall. 3.4m @ 400 ctrs guess the project will be on hold again until i can get more info :cry: :cry:

thanks for the reply no more than 4 kids is the plan but then again you never know what the future brings do you think it will take the load ? the red wall runs right through the house and after a quick search i thought 8x2 (at 16" centres) would be enough as the span is about 10' one side...
