    Euro cylinder lock issue.

True, Million and one uses but not a true lubricant

    Euro cylinder lock issue.

Little heads up: Don't use WD40. Silicone spray or graphite spray! Most lock instructions have in the small print any other lube invalidates the guarantee. WD40 is a de-greaser so it may help immediately but will damage the lock as it strips the grease out. Also it remains tacky so attracts...

    UPVC Hinge Identification/Question

Most modern windows have a "Euro groove" which is made to accommodate standard hinges. Your windows are probably just older than that but quite common. 10" side hung is no problem...

    door lock for elderly

Maybe able to switch the door mech to a slam lock (engaged the multipoint locking automatically so no need to lift a handle) Would probably need help from the door supplier/fitters as its a fairly complex task to get the right system and fit it. I'm afraid to say depending on the door/company...

UPVC window - drain holes blocked

As it was ordered with the cill the window most likely has concealed drainage (drainage holes are under the window) if so drilling new holes in the front will have no difference as water will still come out the bottom of the frame as that is the lowest point. Actually looks like the overall...

    NovoRol roller shutter

Can you post a pic of the inside showing both the wall unit and the safety edge system? There are alot of makes of roller doors but many of them seem to use the exact same parts/control systems

Just to answer a couple more of your questions (no particular order) Avoid Rockdoor they have had some issues recently with slabs bowing and pealing. Apeer & Extreme I cant comment on. Solidor is good I have fitted many, They are strong, Look good and work well. You mention the fancy handle...

    Composite doors/prices/quality and brick work.

I would go with a small local recommended company. The large company's pay fitters poorly so they throw them in as fast as they can to make money. For a basic design color and glass comp door I would be expecting to pay around £1300 there. For £2500 I would expect something solid core in a...

    New UPVC handle confusion

Normally get 2 or even 3 set of screws with a door handle. 70,80, and 90mm I think off the top of my head. Screw length is the easy bit. Getting you PZ and screw to screw center sizes is the fun bit. https://www.handlestore.com/blog/replacement-upvc-door-handles-how-to-find-the-correct-ones/

    Bi-Fold adjustment

If you would like to just pop the doors down to me in the southwest I can sort it no problem :p Hinges, Rollers and gaskets defiantly look like Smart's

    Bi-Fold adjustment

If its the travel door that is having that new issue the toe & healing should sort that too. If its the other doors they may need the same toe& heel adjustment. I fit quite a few Smart's. Good doors but the glass does often need repacking a few month/year after fitting as all the weight settles...

    Bi-Fold adjustment

Looks like a Smart aluminum door. Are you saying the handle side of the travel door is rubbing at the bottom? If so that door sash will need "toe and heel packing"

    Garage conversion window

Just a quick question for those in the know. Someone recently mentioned that as a garage conversion is a change of use document Q security rating would apply. Not something I have had a BO bring up but technically correct I suppose. What do you guys think?

What kind of UPVC door is this ?

Looks like an aluminum door to me which makes things trickier. Will be a wrap around panel glaze so you will need to remove and dismantle the door slab, Also the panels will be trickier to find from non trade sources.

What is wrong with my uPVC double doors?

In a pinch/emergency hosing the doors down to cool them will help. They should be adjustable to a point where that is not needed though
